Going into the story…a coffee estate…a fight between two families for rights over it. But here’s a twist. That is nothing new either. In “Ala Vaikunthapuramulo” type two children born at the same time in both these families are reversed. Where one should grow, the other grows. Both of them grow up to be heroes and heroines. So far the hero is a Beavers type. There is no care or fear of anything; The heroine is very calculated and business minded. The attraction, repulsion, conflict between these two… eventually becomes what happens in all movies. That’s what it means to tell a story.

A story is a story that makes the audience sit. At the beginning of the movie, there is a little bit of excitement, but if you want to take the original story on the highway, it seems like you are going at a speed of 20 in the middle of the narrow streets, taking diversions in the middle. The purpose behind the manipulation of both the original children is not known. The need to run the story with other characters is also not taught. The absence of any excitement after crossing a stage gives the feeling of someone calmly walking along.

In the first half, except for the news in Shanti Swaroop’s voice during the titles, and Urvashi’s homeopathy dialogue during the introduction of the characters, there is not a single funny dialogue scene.

Even the interval bang is so routine and predictable that there is no question of what is going to happen next. Because it is not difficult for the audience who have seen thousands of movies to imagine how the person who is not working for the interval time will change in the second half and how he will win the hearts of those who have to win in some event. 

The whole second half goes on like cashew. Andhra, Telangana marriage…etc all come out as fairy tales regardless of the original story. Although the revealing point in the climax is subtle, it feels dull due to the problem in the story. 

Mickey J Mayer’s music is the best I’ve ever heard. The lyrics in the songs are somewhat okay. Everything is shot in Ooty and Italy so the camera work feels rich.  

When there is a lag in the film, we immediately blame the editing, but what can the editor do if the original film has terrible lags! Conversations should not explode too much. When these artists were hired, they should have written hilarious words throughout. The author has done his best. But the result is not promising.

When it comes to acting, Santhosh Shobhan is perfect. The right entertainer will reach a wider audience.  

Malvika Nair is ok. But this is a role where any other actress would be fine in her place. 

Naresh, Rao Ramesh, Rajendra Prasad were all working at the same tempo. After a long time, Shawukar appeared in four or five scenes as Janaki’s grandmother. Urvashi appears once in Pradhamartham in the beginning and in the climax. Gautami looked like an average innocent girl. Vennela Kishore’s comedy was almost laugh-out-loud and finally exited without much laughter. 

There is no better family entertainer this summer that the whole family can watch comfortably. Even if this film is supposed to compensate for that deficit, the work has not been done. It is very difficult for the audience to accept a simple movie with such a lag. 

At one point, when the hero utters a borrowed dialogue, “You have to see the cut-out and believe it, dude”, the heroine says, “You are just a cut-out, not Prabhas”. Even the audience who saw this movie said “This movie is just that..not a very good movie”.

Bottom line: The omen is not good
