Lucknow/Gurugram: Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav died on Monday at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram after prolonged illness. Mulayam Singh Yadav, who was the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for three times and Defense Minister in the Central Government, was called one of the veteran politicians of the country.

Mulayam Singh was shifted to the ICU of Medanta Hospital due to more difficulty in breathing. In the hospital, Mulayam Singh (82) was personally supervised by the Director of Medanta Group, Dr. Naresh Trehan. However, his life could not be saved as his condition deteriorated and Mulayam breathed his last at 8.16 am. Ever since Mulayam Singh Yadav was admitted to the hospital, his supporters and admirers were constantly praying for his better health.
