Secret Invasion’s Prove MCU Fans Don’t Want Anything
Secret Invasion’s Prove MCU Fans Don’t Want Anything Different Reviews Secret Invasion’s Reviews Prove MCU Fans Don’t Want Anything Different The reviews for Marvel’s Secret Invasion have been mixed, with some critics praising the show’s darker tone and more mature themes, while others have found it to be slow, derivative, and even silly. However, one thing that seems to be consistent among the reviews is that fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) are not particularly interested in anything different.
For example, in his review for The Hollywood Reporter, Daniel Fienberg writes that Secret Invasion “is a show that will please fans of the MCU who are looking for more of the same, but it’s unlikely to win over anyone who’s looking for something different.” Similarly, in her review for Variety, Caroline Framke writes that the show “is unlikely to win over anyone who’s not already invested in the MCU, but it’s a solid enough entry for those who are.”
Marvel’s Secret Invasion Continues the Franchise’s Dull
These reviews suggest that MCU fans are not interested in seeing the franchise take any risks or try anything new. They want more of the same old formula, with big action sequences, witty dialogue, and plenty of fan service. And while there’s nothing wrong with that, it does mean that the MCU is unlikely to evolve or change much in the years to come.
Of course, there are always exceptions to the rule. For example, the critically acclaimed show WandaVision was a departure from the traditional MCU formula, and it was still well-received by fans. However, WandaVision was also a limited series, which gave it more freedom to experiment. It remains to be seen whether the MCU will be willing to take such risks with its ongoing series.
Only time will tell what the future holds for the MCU. But for now, it seems that fans are content with getting more of the same. And that’s probably not a bad thing. After all, the MCU has been very successful with its formula so far.
