Gas cylinder becomes expensive two days before election results
The government has reduced the price of domestic natural gas for the month of December. This may make cooking food and driving a car cheaper as the prices of CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) and PNG (Piped Natural Gas) may fall. The Petroleum Ministry said in a notification that the price of domestic natural gas for December has been reduced to $8.47 per million metric British thermal unit (mmBtu) from $9.12 in November. However, as per the formula used to calculate the prices, the domestic natural gas price will remain at $6.5 for the month of December.
LPG Price Hike: LPG cylinder prices increased across the country
As per the new gas pricing mechanism, domestic gas prices are now subject to a minimum and maximum limit of $4 per mmBtu and $6.5 per mmBtu respectively. The cap on natural gas prices will remain in place for the next two years. Even in November the price was $6.5 per mmBtu

LPG expensive
As soon as the month of December starts, the common man may face a big shock of inflation. Oil marketing companies have increased the prices of commercial gas cylinders across the country. The price of a commercial gas cylinder has increased by Rs 21 in Delhi. However, this increase has been made in commercial gas cylinders. Now the price of commercial gas cylinder in the capital Delhi has become Rs 1796.50 instead of Rs 1775.50. It is a matter of relief that there has been no increase in the price of domestic gas cylinders. Last month also the prices of commercial gas cylinders were increased.
